Mario Balotelli apologized for his behavior in a public statement and added that he will discuss his future at the club after the end of this season.

In a scandalous incident during the match against London's "Arsenal" on Sunday, the forward grossly violated the opponent's defender Alex Song, and later was sent off the field for two yellow cards.

After the game, coach Roberto Mancini did not hide his anger and added that a player who has been sent off from the field four times in two seasons could be sold in the summer.

"I apologize for what happened and for the disappointment that I have caused to "Man City," Balotelli said in the statement. "After the season, I will talk to the club managers and decide what to do next."

The player called to apologize to the Italian national team coach Cesare Prandelli, who added that he would evaluate from the videos whether Balotelli violated the code of ethics.

The Italian defended himself: "I did not violate the code of ethics in the duel with "Arsenal". Due to my foolish behavior, I was not called up to the Italian national team once before, and I do not want it to happen again. I hope to prepare for the European Championship in April with the national team."

Previously, Balotelli shot fireworks at home and almost caused a fire, threw sharp darts at a "Man City" youth team player, and unexpectedly wandered into a school in Manchester and asked to use the toilet.
