The largest group of passionate fans is urging their team to lose in the French championship match against "Montpellier" on Wednesday.

Didier Deschamps' players have fallen into a deep pit and have stumbled 10 times in the last 11 matches, dropping to 9th place in the standings. However, fans do not want this unsuccessful streak to end this week.

Such a call is made to help "Montpellier," who are fighting for the top spot, to surpass their fierce rivals PSG and Marseille.

With seven games left in the season, PSG and "Montpellier" are tied at 63 points. However, Parisians have played one more game, so their opponents could gain a three-point advantage on Wednesday.

"Let's create the best possible conditions for 'Montpellier' to become champions," said the "Winners 87" group in a statement. "Let's allow 'Montpellier' to win, let's not forget the lessons of history!"

The last sentence referred to 1999, when PSG lost 2-3 to "Bordeaux" and prevented "Marseille" from winning the first place.
