In the latest world football national team rankings announced by FIFA, Lithuania has moved up two places to 89th position with 373 points.

Spain, the reigning European and world champion, continues to lead the classification, followed by Germany and Uruguay in second and third place respectively, surpassing the Netherlands.

In the upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifying cycle, Lithuania's national team opponents are ranked as follows: Greece - 14th, Bosnia - 27th, Slovakia - 35th, and Latvia - 74th. Liechtenstein has moved up eight places to 261st.
