After the victory in the Madrid derby, coach Aitor Karanka did not spare praise for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Portugal scored three goals, determining his team's 4-1 victory. This means that the advantage over "Barcelona," currently in second place, remains at four points.
"He played wonderfully, but the victory required everyone's effort," Karanka said in place of Jose Mourinho at the press conference. "We knew it wouldn't be easy. Many were against us, but we trusted in the team. We must stay on this path."
Falcao equalized the score 1-1 at the beginning of the second half, but "Real" did not falter: "With half an hour left, the situation was difficult as the score became equal, but we showed strength in this situation."
