Changes in "Liverpool" management will not affect coach Dalglish © EuroFootball.com

In the leadership of the club - changes, but they will not affect head coach Kenny Dalglish.

By mutual agreement, football director Damien Comolli and sports science and medicine specialist Peter Burkner left the team. It is said that the dismissal was unexpected for both of them.

However, chairman of the board Tomas Werner assures that Dalglish has nothing to worry about: "We have great confidence in Kenny.

"We have resources that allow us to compete with anyone in football. Moreover, we feel that there is enough talent in the team for victories, although we are not satisfied with the results of this season. We have a long-term strategy, so it needs to be implemented and move forward."

One of the reasons for Comolli's dismissal is considered to be the not very successful performance of the team's newcomers - Charlie Adam, Jordan Henderson, Stewart Downing, and Andy Carroll - as the Frenchman was responsible for strengthening the squad together with Dalglish.

Among the candidates for the position of football director, such famous names as Dutch football legend Johan Cruyff, former Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal, and former Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain, who held the position several years ago, are mentioned.
