On April 14th in Gargzdai, the "General Financing A League" sixth round match between the local team "Banga" and Marijampole's "Sūduva" will take place. fksuduva.lt spoke with the coaches of both teams.
- What is the physical condition of the team given such a tight schedule? - we asked Virginijus Liubšys, the head coach of "Sūduva".
- We can talk about the physical condition after the first round of matches with "Ekranas". After this frequent match marathon, we will see which teams are ready and which are not. The second half with "Žalgiris" showed that our condition is good at the moment. Today we will have an easy training session, and whether we had enough time to prepare for the match against "Banga" will be seen after the game.
- How is K.Chvedukas, who suffered an injury in Vilnius, feeling?
- It's good that there are no fractures. However, he won't be able to play for a week or two. So he won't participate in the match against "Banga".
- What are the strengths of the "Banga" team's playing style?
- "Banga" has played several good matches. I think things are not going well for them. In the match against "Žalgiris", they missed a goal right at the end of the match, had bad luck against "Atlantas", could have taken a point, and in the match against "Kruoja". So far, "Banga" lacks luck. They are a team with character and fighters.
The coach of Gargždai's "Banga", Vaidotas Žutautas, said that "Sūduva" is stronger than last year, and it takes time for "Banga" to achieve better results.
- Why did "Banga" start the season weaker than expected?
- This was due to major changes in the team before the season. Twelve players left the team, and they were replaced by other footballers. We are a new team. The game at the start of the season was not bad, but something was missing. I think our game will improve over time.
- In your opinion, what are the strengths of the "Sūduva" team?
- I believe that "Sūduva" is stronger than last year. Players like R.Ledesma, C.Thomson have added strength. I can say that "Sūduva" made a very good impression in the first rounds.
