Dortmund's "Borussia" defended the German champion title - Jurgen Klopp's players secured the first place in the tournament table by defeating Monchengladbach's "Borussia" 2-0.

Ivan Perisic and Shinji Kagawa scored goals in both halves, leading to their 26th consecutive unbeaten match. This is a new record in the German championship.

With two rounds left until the end of the season, "Borussia" is ahead of the closest pursuer, Munich's "Bayern," by eight points.

"Bayern" also celebrated victory, defeating Bremen's "Werder" 2-1 thanks to a late goal by Franck Ribery.

In the 51st minute, Naldo put the hosts ahead, but soon after, the same player scored an own goal, allowing the Bavarian team to equalize. Ribery had the final say in the match, but it was not enough to maintain hopes of winning the championship.
