Just a year ago, starting his career at the highest level, Daniele Doveri was not a very famous referee until Saturday evening, but now his name is being mentioned by all European media.
He attracted attention during the "Serie A" match between the clubs "Napoli" and "Novara," when after not even playing for 30 seconds, he noticed an injury... and dislocated his shoulder.
The 35-year-old Doveri immediately asked for medical assistance, so the match was forcibly stopped for 18 minutes. Although the reserve referee was ready to take over the duties, after receiving a dose of painkillers, Doveri continued his work.
Interestingly, the first half ended with the clock showing the 64th minute.
