"Bangos" fans had to wait for eight rounds until the first victory was achieved. However, the celebration finally came to our home - Tauragė's "Tauras" was defeated 1:0. Without four yellow cards, A.Jokšo, but with A.Ivanauskas returning to the main team composition after more than a year's break, the "Banga" team firmly took the initiative into their own hands in the first half. Unfortunately, as in previous matches, the initiative against "Tauras" did not turn into goals. Either the "Banga" players lacked accuracy or the Tauragians accurately solved the offside traps. It was a close call - some attacked, others almost scored. In the last minute of the first half, four Tauragians broke away from two Gargždai players, but the "Tauras" player, one-on-one with the goalkeeper, managed to miss the goal. Unfortunately, one-on-one with the goalkeeper on the right flank, he failed to outsmart him. However, defeating the guests from Tauragė was enough for one accurate shot. Until the end of the match, "Banga" kept the reins of the game in their hands and recorded three points in the tournament table. After the match, the head coach of "Banga" V.Žutautas said: "Finally. Finally three points. The match was not very good, but the team really needed these three points. The psychological state of all the players was a bit depressed. After winning any match, the game is forgotten, only three points remain. Of course, there are things to improve. I think this victory will lift us emotionally a bit and everything will be fine. Fighting spirit determined this victory, the players did not give up until the last minute. The game did not gel, but with a great desire to win, we achieved three points today. Today there were two equal teams on the field. Both we and "Tauras" did not play our best game". Responding about successful substitutions, the coach openly said that he was not very clever in that area: "Throughout the game, the substitutions were practically the same. G.Nikabadze appeared on the field in the last four or five matches after substitutions, but couldn't score. And today he had to score two, he scored one". "Banga" defender Nika Mgeladze rejoiced in the victory: "We had the initiative throughout the match, that's why we won. They also had opportunities, but fewer than us. The match was tough, but we took advantage of one of the few opportunities and won. This victory is very important psychologically. I think after this "Banga" will only go up". When asked about the atmosphere in the locker room after the victory, the legionnaire responded very briefly: "Great".
