Guardiola: in a few days we will decide on my future at "Barcelona" club © EuroFootball.com

After losing in the Champions League semi-finals, coach Pep Guardiola did not hide his disappointment and added that he was considering the prospects of further work.

In front of their own fans, the Spanish champions played a 2-2 draw with London's Chelsea and were eliminated from further competition, having lost the first leg in England 0-1.

"My future? I will make a decision in the coming days. I will talk to the president and we will decide what decision would be best for this club," Guardiola said.

Initiating the press conference on a somber note, the coach said: "I feel great sorrow. I think we played very well. We did everything we could to reach the final. Playing in finals is amazing, but this time we will have to watch everything on a TV screen. It wasn't enough that we played really well - sometimes football is like that. This year was not our turn. This year it seems like we just can't win."

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell remained optimistic: "I am proud that we did not give up our style of play. Sometimes the ball just doesn't find its way to the goal, but that's the game and we need to accept failure. Of course, we experienced a shock, but that's football. Congratulations to the Chelsea team, who did their job. I am proud of the coach and the team."

He added that he wants Guardiola to continue his work and sign a new contract. The specialist will become a free agent this summer.
