f coach Pep Guardiola resigns from the club, the main candidate to replace him will be Marcelo Bielsa, reports "Goal.com".

At Friday's press conference, Guardiola is expected to confirm that he is rejecting the offer to extend his expiring contract and will leave the team after this season.

In that case, negotiations will be attempted with Bielsa, who is currently leading Bilbao. The 56-year-old Argentine, whose candidacy is supported by the majority of Barcelona executives, will also become a free agent in the summer. Furthermore, it may be that negotiations with him will be helped by Guardiola himself, considering Bielsa one of the best modern coaches.

If an agreement cannot be reached with Bielsa, among other possible candidates are mentioned Guardiola's assistant Tito Vilanova, currently coaching at Roma Luis Enrique, and youth team coach Oscar Garcia.

Among them are former Villarreal strategist Ernesto Valverde and Germany's national team manager Joachim Low.
