Guardiola: no negotiations with "Chelsea" taking place © EuroFootball.com

Pep Guardiola, who will be leaving the club after the season, claims he had no contact with London.

The Spaniard is considered one of the main candidates to take over the reins of an English team. He is particularly admired by billionaire owner Roman Abramovich.

However, Guardiola told journalists: "We never talked. By doing so, I would show disrespect to my club."

He added: "I still don't know what I will do, but I don't intend to return to coaching right away."

Guardiola took over the reins of Barcelona four years ago - before that, he coached the reserve team. During this time, he managed to win two Champions League trophies, triumph in the Spanish championship three times, lift the country's King's Cup, win the Spanish Super Cup three times, win the UEFA Super Cup twice, and the FIFA Club World Cup twice.
