In the Lithuanian championship, four matches were played over the weekend, marking the end of the first round of the competition.

The undisputed leader Panevezys "Screen" claimed another victory at home, defeating Pakruojis "Kruoja" with a minimal score of 1-0. The only goal of the match was scored by goalkeeper Aurimas Kucys just over half an hour into the game.

This match took place for the first time this season at the "Aukstaitija" stadium on natural grass. Up until now, the matches were played on artificial turf.

The national champions Vilnius "Zalgiris" did not allow themselves to fall behind, easily beating Alytus "Dainava" 4-0. The most prolific player in the "A League," Calum Elliott, scored two goals for the winners, while V.Silėnas and Mario Grgurovičius also found the back of the net.

Meanwhile, Marijampole's "Sūduva," in the third position, dropped their first points at home as they had to settle for a goalless draw against Vilnius REO, who are second to last in the standings.
