"Both teams demonstrated good play in the first half, we had plenty of chances. We scored a goal, we won, so today we were the stronger team. Of course, playing on natural grass is better, but it is not of such quality that it is pleasant to play. In Spain, we trained in truly ideal conditions on great fields. It's a pity that we have to start the season on synthetic turf. It was not easy to control the ball.
We have seen several "Kruoja" matches, they defend well, counterattack well, they deserve praise. Today was a true Aukštaitijos derby, a great battle indeed. I think the team is experienced, knows how to adapt to difficult conditions, and will manage to recover before the match against "Sūduva". The first match against the Marijampolė team was a complete failure, we made conclusions after those matches. On Wednesday, I hope that there will be a zero on the scoreboard next to our team's name, and against "Sūduva" - we will see how well we can take advantage of the chances created. We should win, and that's what we will aim for.
