Former "Fiorentina" coach Delio Rossi apologized to Adam Ljajic for assaulting his own player during an Italian football championship match.

"My behavior was ugly, but understandable," D. Rossi said at a press conference.

It should be noted that the incident occurred during a "Serie A" match against the "Novara" team, when coach D. Rossi substituted Adam Ljajic who he was not satisfied with on the field.

The footballer, who had only played half an hour, was not happy with this decision and sarcastically applauded the coach as he sat on the bench. D. Rossi's response was immediate as he attacked the player.

The coach and the player were separated by other team members.

The match ended in a draw 2:2, and coach D. Rossi was dismissed.
