After the game, which "Real" won 2-1 after a fierce battle, angry "Granada" players surrounded the referee. They did not hide their anger over the questionable decision to award a penalty kick in the 81st minute, which was converted by "Real" leader Cristiano Ronaldo to equalize the score.
The referee defended himself by showing red cards to Guilherme Siqueira and Moises Hurtado, which only further infuriated 25-year-old Dani Benitez, who threw a drink bottle at the referee.
