After an impressive victory against Vilnius' "Reo," Panevėžys "Ekrano" head coach Valdas Urbonas praised the boys for their good game, for their desire and efforts to play quality football.
"The result speaks for itself. We certainly played a good match, despite it being the 9th game in a row, playing every three days. The pace is serious. The previous match against "Sūduva" showed that the team is moving forward, improving its fitness. Speaking about the quality of the game, some might want to say that we played against "Reo," not "Sūduva." I think any team today would have suffered from our game.
Speaking about fitness, first of all, the players put in a lot of work. Everyone gathered here is a team that has played together for a while. It is impressive to see the men's passion, the desire to win, to play beautifully. We just need to not hinder them, and help them as much as possible to steer their desire in a positive direction. That is our job. The fitness level that the team has reached now pleases me. I think the break is necessary, during which the players will recover physically. We have a match against "Tauras," "Šiauliai," two games against "Žalgiris," one cup final, and another championship game. May is intense, but if we successfully overcome this stage, we will cheerfully welcome the summer," the coach said.
