"Juventus" legend Alessandro del Piero is happy to leave the club with his head held high. Yesterday Antonio Conte's team secured the title of Italian champions and the first "Scudetto" since 2003.
"I always play only for the victories. In recent years, things often didn't go well for us, but this triumph compensates for the events of 2006 (the "Calciopoli" scandal led to the stripping of Juventus' championship titles in 2005 and 2006 - ed.)", said the veteran.
"I experienced wonderful things here, and now there is joy and enthusiasm in the team. It doesn't matter that I spent a lot of time on the bench during the season - now I remember everything with a smile.
