The head coach of the Lithuanian national football team, Csaba Laszlo, actively takes care not only of the national team matters, but also of the future of the team.
Having led the youth team of Borussia Mönchengladbach (Germany) at the beginning of his coaching career, the specialist has accumulated considerable experience in working with young footballers and now he shares this knowledge with football specialists in our country.
Recently, the Hungarian coach prepared a concept for the development of young players, which will help coaches of the National Football Academy and youth national teams in educating players to work in a unified direction. The concept foresees that all national teams - from the youngest to the oldest - will aim to play according to a similar tactical model.
“We are trying to improve the work with young players at the National Football Academy. For this purpose, I have prepared a special training concept. I am the national team coach, but I also care about the future of football,” - said Cs. Laszlo.
The coach will not only pass on theoretical knowledge but also practical skills - Cs. Laszlo has already conducted the first training session for the academy's young footballers. From now on, the coach himself or with the help of assistants will do this regularly.
“I will try to visit there as often as possible, sometimes my assistants Vitalijus Stankevičius and Igoris Pankratjevas will help me. I also would like to invite foreign specialists in the future to share their knowledge,” - said the strategist.
One of Cs. Laszlo's immediate tasks is to help the Lithuanian U-19 youth national team prepare for the European Football Championship final stage scheduled for next year. Lithuanians will host this competition in the summer of 2013.
