Strategist Kenny Dalglish assures that this summer the club will actively seek to strengthen the squad.
This season, the 'Reds' won the English league cup, but fans' expectations in the Premier League were not met: the team will not rise above seventh place, and in the last round they may even drop to a very modest ninth position.
"We want to continue the work we have already started," said Dalglish. "We definitely have things to do in the transfer market, but other teams are also thinking. Throughout the season, we regularly talked to the owners, discussed possibilities and options. Many plans for the next season are already in place, we just need to implement them."
And he continued: "We are not planning to sell anyone. The only player who will leave is Fabio Aurelio, as his contract is expiring. Of course, nothing can be guaranteed, but we certainly would not want to lose any other players."
