In the first match of the Lithuanian A League on Saturday, Alytus' "Dainava" defeated Klaipėda's "Atlantas" with a score of 1:0 and moved up to fifth place.
The only goal was scored in the 65th minute by the home team's attacking leader Arsenijus Buinickis.
In another match, the A League's championship leader Panevėžys' "Ekranas" beat Tauragė's "Taura" 2:1.
The goals for the winners were scored in the 4th and 35th minutes by M. Savėnas and A. Velička. The home team managed to soften the score in the 84th minute with a goal from T. Sirevičius.
