Mancini: a crazy season culminated in a crazy last minute © EuroFootball.com

Roberto Mancini triumphs - the team he coaches won the English "Premier" league trophy for the first time since 1968.

It seemed like the trophy would slip away from the Italian team's grasp, but two goals during added time decided the victory of 3-2 against London's Queens Park Rangers. Thanks to this, Man City collected the same number of points as defending champions Man Utd, but surpassed their rivals due to a better goal difference.

"It's unbelievable - my footballers deserved this," Mancini told SkySports. "Celebrating such a victory... It's hard to believe. I don't know if I've seen anything like it before.

"We didn't deserve to lose this match - we had plenty of chances, so we deserved to celebrate the victory. We deserved the Premier League trophy. For the club and the fans, it's fantastic - after all, they had to wait 44 years. An insane season ended with an insane last minute."

He added: "With five minutes left, I didn't expect us to win. But we deserve it. We were in the lead for 20 rounds. It was crucial for us to start winning the championship, so now the future looks bright."
