Former defender Gary Neville has been invited to work in the team of England national team coach Roy Hodgson.

The 37-year-old specialist, who holds a UEFA coaching license, signed a four-year contract and will start working immediately.

"It's a great honor and a special moment in life," said 37-year-old Neville. "I didn't have to think for a moment to accept the offer. I am eagerly looking forward to the European Championship and the other two tournaments."

Neville has played 85 matches for the England national team and ended his career in early 2011. Recently, he has been working as an expert and commentator for television broadcasts.
