Veteran Paul Scholes has agreed to represent the club for another year.
The 37-year-old Englishman retired before last season, but in January, at the request of coach Sir Alex Ferguson, he returned to the field.
"I am very pleased, Paul has realized that he made a mistake hanging up his boots," Ferguson said. "Now he understands that he will play 25-30 high-level matches next season. This will probably be his last season."
He added: "We know him well and know how to use him."
In May 2011, Scholes, who announced the end of his career, began working as a coach for "Man Utd". However, he later agreed to help the team, whose midfield was depleted by injuries.
It is said that Scholes is being asked to assist the England national team in the European Championship starting in June.
