Supporters of the Düsseldorf "Fortuna" team, celebrating their team's victory in the promotional series for the right to play in the highest German football league, flooded the stadium and tore down the goalposts.

The "Fortuna" team, which finished third in the second league championship, played a 2-2 draw in the second series match against the 16th-placed team in the highest league, Berlin's "Hertha" team.

After winning the first away match 2-1, the Düsseldorf players celebrated a victory with an overall score of 4-3 and earned the right to play in the highest league.

With five minutes left in the match, when "Hertha" equalized the score and had a chance to take the lead, enraged home team fans began throwing fireworks onto the field. With just one minute left to play, fans who felt the victory rushed onto the field and tore down the goalposts. The match was stopped.

After the police managed to calm down the unruly football fans, the teams returned to the field. Finally, as the referee's whistle announced the end of the match, the fans returned to the stands.
