The famous Italian Marcelo Lippi has been appointed as the new coach of China's "Guangzhou Evergrande" club.
The 64-year-old specialist, who led the Italian national team to victory in the 2006 World Cup, has signed a one-and-a-half year contract.
After the unsuccessful 2010 World Cup, where the Italians were eliminated after the group stage, Lippi resigned and has not worked anywhere since then.
During his career, the specialist has also won the Italian championship multiple times and triumphed in the UEFA Champions League with Turin's "Juventus".
