Alessandro Del Piero claims he cannot imagine representing another Italian club, therefore he will test his strengths abroad.
The 37-year-old veteran spent almost two decades in Turin's Juventus team, but once his contract expired, it was not renewed.
"I have not yet chosen which path I will take next, but it will certainly be a good choice for me and my family," Del Piero said. "I want the new opportunity to motivate me, so the specific choice of league is not the most important question.
“Whether it is the Champions League or not an elite championship, the most important thing is that I feel motivated. However, it will definitely not be Italy, as representing another team would go against my principles.”
In the Serie A championship last season, Del Piero scored three goals in 23 matches.
