Claudio Ranieri has been appointed as the new coach of the French second division club "Monaco". The experienced specialist signed a two-year contract with the possibility of extending it for another year.
The Italian was also tempted by the English Premier League club "West Bromwich Albion", but he chose Monaco.
"We are delighted that one of the most outstanding modern football coaches will work in the club. He will bring experience and a winning mentality to the team," the statement said.
The 60-year-old Ranieri led Inter Milan last season, but was dismissed in March due to poor results. At that time, Monaco finished in eighth place in the Ligue 2 championship.
