During a Friday press conference, the new club coach Brendan Rodgers was officially introduced. Last season, the 39-year-old specialist led the "Swansea" team and secured a respectable 11th place in the English "Premier" league.

"This is a long-term job," said Rodgers. "I want to stick to the principles of this club: to demonstrate attacking football and tactical discipline. Liverpool last won the English championship almost 20 years ago. Expecting to triumph now is difficult, but the process towards that begins today."

He continued: "I may be young, but I lack no experience in football. It is a great honor for me to take on this job."

Together with the strategist, his assistants moved to Liverpool: coach Colin Pascoe, analyst Chris Davies, and consultant Glen Driscoll. In total, "Swansea" will receive about 8 million euros in compensation.

Regarding strengthening the team's composition, Rodgers stated: "There is money, although it does not come in abundance. First, we need to assess what is already in the team, but I have watched the matches and see what needs to be improved. We will look for those who could strengthen the squad and its playing style."

"Brendan's football philosophy aligns with what we want to see in the club. We are not waiting for miracles overnight, but we believe we are moving in the right direction towards victory in the English Premier League," said Liverpool owner John Henry.

According to ball possession time in the Premier League, "Swansea" ranked third (average 57.6%), only behind London's "Arsenal" and "Man City". In terms of accurate passes made, the "Swans" remained second (85.7%).
