Euro 2012: about the favorite pop music of the Danes and impressive tattoos © EuroFootball.com

The Danish national team has entered the group of death at the European Championship together with Portugal, Germany, and the Netherlands. However, the Danes will not put down their weapons easily. In their lineup, we will see a creative midfielder who admires the very popular pop music duo among teenagers and a defender who can boast impressive tattoos, who not so long ago thought about ending his career due to back pain.

Let's get to know some spicy facts about the players of the Danish national team.

Dennis Rommedahl

This midfielder absolutely loves the Danish pop music duo "Nik & Jay," whose fans are mostly teenage girls. Once, under the Danish national team's jersey, he wore another jersey with the inscription "boing, boing," which is the title of the aforementioned duo's song.

In that match, D. Rommedahl managed to score and, of course, revealed the Danish national team's jersey to demonstrate the inscription underneath. The midfielder was then punished with a yellow card for this act.

Christian Poulsen

The former captain of the Danish national team was immensely grateful to his former club "FC Copenhagen." In 2002, he moved to play for "Schalke" in Gelsenkirchen and transferred a significant portion of the money he earned that season to his former team.

Part of the money also went to the coaches of the Copenhagen club, who, according to C. Poulsen himself, helped him develop as a player. In addition, C. Poulsen donated a considerable amount of money to the players' fines fund.

Anders Lindegaard

This goalkeeper, before joining "Manchester United," played for a small club in Norway. Anders has been a passionate fan of the "Red Devils" since childhood. He was particularly impressed by the Danish goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel, who played for the club.

A. Lindegaard simply couldn't believe his ears when he was informed that "Manchester United" wanted to sign him. The goalkeeper himself claims that upon learning about the upcoming move to Manchester, he would often just lie on the couch, look at the ceiling, and smile out of happiness, unable to believe what was happening.

Daniel Agger

The captain of the Danish national team, who plays for "Liverpool," is constantly plagued by injuries. In 2009, he had major issues with back pain and even considered quitting football. A huge tattoo adorns his back with the Latin proverb "Mors Certa, Hora Incerta" (Death is certain, its hour is uncertain). Another tattoo on D. Agger reads the slogan "Suffering is temporary, victory is eternal."

When playing for Liverpool, Portuguese player Raul Meireles would often inquire about D. Agger and Martin Skrtel, asking which tattoo parlor they visited. The Portuguese even promised to match or even surpass his former Danish teammate in terms of the number of tattoos.

William Kvist and Niki Zimling

These players will likely form the defensive midfield duo for the Danish national team. William and Niki have known each other since childhood as they played together at the same football school.

W. Kvist claims that he and Niki know each other very well and it will benefit them on the field. N. Zimling is a more attacking midfielder, while W. Kvist focuses more on defense.
