Croatia will compete in the European Championship without striker Olic © EuroFootball.com

Croatia's national team will not be able to count on Ivica Olić, who suffered a thigh injury, in the European Championship.

The striker, who left Bayern Munich and signed a contract with Wolfsburg, will be unable to play for a month and a half. He has scored 15 goals for the national team.

Instead of the 32-year-old Olić, coach Slaven Bilić has called up Nikola Kalinić, who represents Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and scored 10 goals in 19 matches in the Ukrainian league last season.

In the tournament of the old continent, Croatia will play in Group C along with Italy, Ireland, and Spain. The first match will be against Ireland on June 10th.
