In the latest FIFA world team ranking, Lithuania has risen one position and currently occupies 88th place.

In the ranking, the world champion Spain continues to lead, while Uruguay, with just 3.2 million inhabitants, has climbed to second place, surpassing Germany.

Portugal has lost five positions and now sits on the right side of the ranking, while Lithuania's future opponent in the World Cup qualifying tournament, Greece, has dropped to 16th place.

Another participant in Lithuania's group, Bosnia and Herzegovina, has lost two positions (29th place), Slovakia - five (39th), Latvia - two (76th), and even twenty positions - Liechtenstein (148th).
