Dutch national team captain Mark van Bommel has complained that during an open training session in Krakow, black players on the team were being mocked.

UEFA acknowledged the incident, but announced that it was related to the city not being granted the right to host championship matches, not racism.

Van Bommel disagreed: "Open your ears. If you didn't hear it, then you didn't want to hear it, and that's even worse."

He added: "We will discuss this with UEFA. If a similar situation occurs during a match, we will ask the referee to allow us to leave the field."

It is said that about 20 thousand people watched the training session, and the monkey noises were made by about half a thousand, presumably Polish people.
