Portugal's national team star Cristiano Ronaldo believes that his team can surprise at the European Championship.
Before the first match in Group B on Saturday against Germany, the Portuguese, unlike their opponents, are not considered favorites of the tournament.
"I'm not worried, I feel great," said the Real Madrid leader. "Maybe the tension will rise tomorrow, a few hours before the match. However, the team is in great shape and well-prepared, so there's nothing to worry about."
The Portuguese team has been criticized by the media for unconvincing results in friendly matches.
"This criticism really upset me. We are really well-prepared," Ronaldo reiterated. "Of course, we will compete in a tough group against technical teams. We must forget the pressure and enjoy the game. We will aim for a victory, but a draw wouldn't be a bad result."
He continued: "It won't be easy to find many weaknesses in the German team. It is one of the best national teams in the world, along with the Netherlands, Spain, and Italy, they are the favorites. However, I hope that we will surprise and start the tournament successfully."
