Germany's national team triumphantly won the European Championship. Joachim Low's pupils forced Portugal's national team to surrender in Lviv by 1-0.

The first half of the match passed quietly - both teams played cautiously.

At the beginning of the match, German striker M.Gomez tested the alertness of the Portuguese goalkeeper with a header, while L.Podolski missed from a distance.

In the 17th minute, the Portuguese leader C.Ronaldo dangerously passed the ball into the penalty area, but there were no teammates nearby who could "close" the pass.

Soon after, L.Podolski shot over the crossbar, and at the end of the half, the Portuguese almost broke through - Pepe hit the ball in a crowded area after a corner kick, and the ball, hitting the crossbar, narrowly missed crossing the goal line.

At the beginning of the second half, the Germans played a bit more actively in attack, but C.Ronaldo responded with a dangerous attack in the 63rd minute.

The 73rd minute was decisive - S.Khedira passed the ball to striker Mario Gomez in the middle of the field, and he headed the ball past Patricio - 1-0!

Portugal, having missed the goal, pressed on and attacked the goal of J.Low's pupils. However, neither C.Ronaldo nor Varela managed to overcome the German defense. The most dangerous moment was a pass from Nani, when the ball unexpectedly changed direction and hit the crossbar.
