Pound: I don't see any reason not to root for the Czech Republic. © EuroFootball.com

Rapper Gabrielius Liaudanskas-Svaras is not a fan of the Dutch or the English. His choice is the Czech Republic. Why? The motive is not entirely related to football - it's because of good ice hockey and the most beautiful city in Europe, Prague!

- The usual question - what are your expectations for the European Championship? Will you spend a lot of time in front of the TV?

- It's hard to say now - it will all depend on my work schedule. I'll admit that I'm not a big fan of sitting in front of the TV, but I am determined to watch the European Championship. I always try to support the underdogs. I support teams whose representing countries I like. Since Lithuania is not playing in the championship, this year I will support the Czechs and the Portuguese. It doesn't matter to me how well these teams perform, I will still cheer for them.

- Have you at least considered which team is the strongest in the championship?

- The recent championships have shown that it's impossible to predict in advance. I think this year there will be a lot of surprises.

- The same Czechs?

- I hope so (laughs). Of course, I don't expect them to win the European Championship, but I hope they will surprise their opponents. I rely on facts - even the strongest national teams have stumbled in football history. I expect surprises, I believe there will be some, so the championship should be very interesting. It's never interesting when the favorites and winners are clear even before the championship begins.

- Admit, what fascinates you about the Czech Republic?

- They play ice hockey well. I always watch their performances in the World Ice Hockey Championships.

- But the Portuguese don't play ice hockey...

- Yes, but I liked them on the football field once. It was many years ago. Since then I've been watching their matches with great interest. And about those Czechs, it's not just the ice hockey factor that influences me. Prague is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. I have been to the Czech Republic several times. I like how they live there. I simply don't see why I shouldn't cheer for them.

- Swedes also play ice hockey well.

- They do, I have nothing against them. I like them. But they have a lot of fans in Lithuania. And the Czechs don't have that.

- Russia?

- I haven't been a fan of Canada, Russia, and the USA for a long time. There are also the Dutch, but they, like the English, Swedes, have a lot of fans in Lithuania, so I just shouldn't argue about football.
