On Monday in Donetsk, Ukraine, the Euro 2012 matches were started by the teams of Group D.

Immediately, the letters brought together two football giants - the national football teams of France and England - which after 90 minutes of fighting, ended in a peaceful 1-1 draw.

In the carefully started match, the first opportunity to break through belonged to Roy Hodgson's pupils, when in the 15th minute James Milner jumped past the goalkeeper, but his shot from a sharp angle hit the outside of the goal net.

In the 30th minute, the English managed to overturn the result to their advantage - after Steven Gerrard's penalty kick, defender Joleon Lescott scored the first goal wearing the national team shirt.

The 'Three Lions' rejoiced with a gained advantage just 9 minutes later, as another "Man City" player Samir Nasri restored the balance of the match with a shot from outside the penalty area.

After the break, as the second half time passed, both teams, fearing to make a fatal mistake, paid more attention to the safety of their own goal, so neither France nor England were able to squeeze more than one point from the first group matches.
