Netherlands national team coach Bert van Marwijk admitted that the team feels pressure before the match against Germany.
The World Cup runners-up sensationally lost their first match in Group B to Denmark, so a second failure could bury their hopes of reaching the quarter-finals.
"Of course, after defeats, tension arises, people get upset," said the specialist. "But we will draw motivation from it. I believe in my players."
In the first match, the Dutch created plenty of chances but failed to break through the Danish defense and were heavily criticized for it. At a press conference on Tuesday, a UEFA representative had to interrupt an argument between a journalist from a Dutch television channel and Van Marwijk.
"I don't know what the atmosphere is like in the country, as we are in Ukraine," the strategist said. "Of course, there is tension, but it's positive - we are really looking forward to the second match. It's part of the job. Personally, I don't feel too much pressure."
Netherlands football officials assured that even an early exit from the tournament would not cost Van Marwijk his job - his contract will not be terminated.
