The coach of the Spanish national team, Vicente del Bosque, praised his players after an impressive victory against the Irish national team and insisted that their goals will not change in the last match of Group C against Croatia.
"We are happy because we managed to achieve our main goal and win the game. It wasn't easy, as the Irish players were very compact in defense.
I have to praise my players because they valued the ball and managed to score 26 times. That's the most important statistic. I was also impressed by the center-backs who defended their territory excellently.
We have a squad of 23 players, all capable of representing the national team properly, and today we decided to field Fernando Torres, who did a great job.
