England national team's midfielder Steven Gerrard believes that his country's team has excellent chances to defeat the Swedes this evening and advance to the quarterfinals.
"If we play like we did against France, it should be enough to beat the Swedes. Of course, we should not underestimate our future opponents, as they are truly capable, but they are not the French," Gerrard said.
"We also need to avoid making mistakes and continue to improve our game.
I am satisfied with England's performance in the first Euro championship match, as we looked really solid. The players trust in their abilities and believe that we will have 4 points in our account tonight," Gerrard said.
In Group D, Ukraine is currently in the lead with 3 points, England and France have 1 point each, and the Swedes are in fourth place with 0 points.
