"Chelsea" club coach from Portugal J. Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes has confirmed that the English club has offered his client a new three-year contract. The Portuguese has been working as the head coach of R. Abramovich's team since the beginning of this season. Unofficially, it is said that the conditions of the contract offered to J. Mourinho are even better than those in the current one. According to the new contract, the coach should earn about £5.2 million (almost 26 million litas) per year, or approximately 20% more than now. "The negotiations are going well and nearing completion," said J. Mendes. "Everything will be decided soon, maybe even by Thursday." The club owner Roman Abramovich arrived in London today to finalize the last details of the contract. If J. Mourinho agrees to the proposed conditions, he will become the highest-earning member of the "Chelsea" club, pushing midfielder Frank Lampard out of the first place.
