Forward Deivydas Matulevičius is moving to the Romanian top league club "Pandurii" from Targu Jiu.

The forward of the Vilnius city football club "Žalgiris," Deivydas Matulevičius, is moving to the team of Targu Jiu "Pandurii," which finished seventh in the highest league of Romania last season.

The footballer successfully passed a medical examination and signed a three-year contract with the new club.

"Reaching an agreement with the 'Pandurii' club was not difficult, as they wanted to acquire Deivydas back in February," said Mindaugas Nikoličius, the sports director of VMFD "Žalgiris". "We are happy about this turn in Deivydas' career. The 'Pandurii' team provides good conditions for improvement. We believe that he will flourish in the highest league of Romania and this will help him establish himself in the main lineup of the Lithuanian national team. We wish Deivydas the greatest success. I have no doubt that in the future we will see him wearing the 'Žalgiris' team jersey again."

The most productive player of the 2011 Lithuanian A League championship, after a successful season at the beginning of this year, was loaned to the team of "Cracovia" in Krakow by the Vilnius city football club "Žalgiris." "Cracovia," which dropped out of the highest league in Poland, lost the right to acquire the 23-year-old forward of the Lithuanian national football team.
