Blokhin to the journalist: let's go, let's sort out our relationship one on one (VIDEO) © EuroFootball.com

Ukraine national team coach Oleg Blokhin, after the lost European Championship match to England, lashed out at the referees and invited one of the journalists to settle matters outside.

There was a huge controversy caused by the referee's decision in the second half not to count Marko Devic's shot, even though the ball clearly crossed the goal line. Neither the field referee nor his assistant near the goal noticed it.

"There are five referees, and the ball crossed the goal line by at least half a meter. Write whatever you want. You all saw everything," Blokhin said. "Why do we need five referees if Andy Carroll is hitting with elbows and John Terry is committing fouls from behind? I don't want to talk about referees because they are not guilty of everything."

The former European Footballer of the Year, who is now a coach, got angry at one of the journalists: "You should respect that I played football. Did you play? Respect me and my work. I won't let anyone criticize my team, Oleg Gusev, or Andriy Shevchenko. If you're a man, let's go and settle this one-on-one."

About the match, Blokhin added: "They were lucky to score, and we leveled the result, but the goal was not counted. I think we played a good game. The English just counterattacked, didn't create any chances in the second half. The only threat came from set pieces."
