Panevežio "Ekrano" defender Mantas Savėnas left the team and will continue his career in Kazakhstan, with the team FC "Sunkar".

The longtime leader of "Ekranas" attacks represented the team of his hometown for more than 10 seasons (1998/99-2007; 2011-2012). In the 2012 season, M. Savėnas played in 13 A league matches and scored 7 goals.

The defender was named the best player of the "General Financing A League" in April and attracted the attention of national team coaches, being called up to the national team camp.

In the "Ekranas" lineup, the "boss" played 320 official matches and scored 118 goals. In the 2005 season he scored 27 goals and was elected the best player of the A League. Mantas represented the Lithuanian under-21 national team. He is now a candidate for the national team. He made his debut on July 17, 2005 in a match against Latvia.
