Defender of the Spanish national team: Portugal is not just C.Ronaldo © EuroFootball.com

Spanish national team defender Alvaro Arbeloa insists that Portugal is not a one-man team.

On Wednesday in the European Championship battle for a spot in the final, the world champions Spain will try to defeat Portugal, and before the match, there is talk about the need to stop forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, Arbeloa urges not to forget about other players: "We all know that C. Ronaldo is an amazing footballer, but Portugal also has other players. This tournament has been very successful for them, showing high-level football, so we will need to stop not only him. Of course, we hope that the semi-final will not be the most successful for him."

Real Madrid's Spanish player is waiting for the match against his teammate: "Physically and psychologically, it is always tough to compete against one of the best footballers in the world. However, it is always nice to receive such a challenge and test yourself."

Coach Vicente Del Bosque added: "We will try to stop C. Ronaldo - we saw a successful example of this in the 2010 World Cup, when we achieved victory. Perhaps this time other men will perform this task, but the idea remains the same."
