The European Championship final match between the national teams of Spain and Italy will be led by the Portuguese Pedro Proenca.
The 41-year-old specialist also worked in last season's UEFA Champions League final, in which Chelsea defeated Bayern Munich in London.
The referee has also worked in matches of both national teams in these continental championships: in Spain's 4-0 victory against Ireland and in Italy's quarterfinal against England.
His third match was Sweden's victory against France. So far, Proenca has not given any red cards or penalties.
