Former Italian national team player Gianluca Pagliuca stated that in the final of the European Championship, two of the best goalkeepers of the last decade - Gianluigi Buffon and Iker Casillas - will take the field.
"These players have no equals for many years. If Italy wins, Buffon will surpass the Spaniard in terms of titles - both will have triumphed at European and world championships once," said the football expert.
"Of course, they are different. Gianluigi is taller and excels in positioning, while Casillas reacts better to shots, but both have etched their names into the history of the game."
Pagliuca tried to predict the outcome of the final: "Spain is the favorite on paper. They would be very happy to play in the final against the weaker German national team. I think the Italians have a good chance to win trophies - their enthusiasm can move mountains. I predict that the 'Azzurri' will win 2-1."
