One of the best footballers in the world, the Brazilian Ronaldo from Madrid, is not taking well to the goal drought he has been experiencing lately.
"I want to score goals, I have been scoring them all my life and when this drought is over, I will score them again," Ronaldo told journalists. "I am not really bothered by the current situation. There are things that worry me much more."
"It's just a sport," continued the Brazilian national team forward. "The ball has to cross the goal line and all the pressure will disappear quickly. I hope it will happen soon."
Ronaldo, who has scored only one goal in the past eleven Spanish league matches, will almost certainly be in the starting lineup for "El Clasico" with Real Madrid, but his partner is still unknown.
According to Friday's Real Madrid training session, he plans to take the field with Ronaldo, along with two other strikers: the in-form Englishman Michael Owen and the recovering team captain Raul. Real Madrid head coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo may opt for this tactical scheme by sacrificing Luis Figo's place on the field.
Meanwhile, as the "El Clasico" approaches, the opposing camp hopes that the Brazilian Ronaldinho, who has been suffering from stomach pains for three days in a row and has not participated in the team's training, will recover by Sunday evening, along with team captain Carles Puyol.
Barcelona's captain is following a special program and the club assures that both team stars should be able to participate in Saturday's training session.
