Zinedine Zidane dreams of coaching the French national team in the future, but he will have to wait for this opportunity.
A few days ago, after Laurent Blanc stepped down, the country's federation leaders are looking for a new coach, but the 40-year-old Zidane is not among the candidates.
"It's great that he expressed a desire to contribute to the national team and maybe coach it in the future," said federation president Noel Le Graet. "Zidane is ready to receive a UEFA professional coaching license at our technical center."
It was said that Blanc should be replaced by Didier Deschamps, who left his coaching position at Marseille. However, on Tuesday, the French press reported that he rejected the offer, so now names like Oman national team coach Paulo Le Guen and youth coach Francisco Smerecki are being considered.
