London won the battle against for the midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson.

For the 22-year-old footballer, who was loaned to another English "Premier" league club "Swansea" last season, but belonged to Germany's "Hoffenheim", "Tottenham" paid about 10 million euros.

It was thought that the Icelander would choose Liverpool's team, coached by former "Swansea" strategist Brendan Rodgers, but the offer from London was financially more attractive.

In 19 matches for "Swansea", Sigurdsson scored seven goals.
